Purple Gate Farm

A family-run, organic orchard striving to raise animals in harmony with nature. We offer education in homesteading and self-sufficiency.

We live an organic, holistic, natural life style and strive to be self sufficient. We care for our animals the same way we care for the trees and garden. No chemicals are used. We use an integrated pest management system throughout the farm. Our bees work with us to take care of the trees! The trees in turn feed us and the sheep, along with the turkeys.

Lisa – Our Master Herbalist

All of our custom blends are the work of our 3rd Generation Master Herbalist, Lisa Pluth.  She became a master herbalist and worked in an alternative health care clinic in Orlando, FL before moving to the Ozarks. We have lived in the east where we learned Eastern techniques and studied Oriental herbs and their application. We have incorporated these with the native folk traditions of Lisa’s father and grandfather.

Lisa gives many classes locally for various organizations, and we host classes on our farm to help give people the ability to learn about the healing powers of local herbs, harvesting, and becoming self-sufficient.
